Badger Art by Cornish artists

Badgers are certainly very beautiful animals and have for hundreds of years been depicted in art.

We are very lucky that local artist Jon Tremaine has allowed West Cornwall Badger Group to use one of his amazing badger drawings as part of our web site design.

Badger drawing by Jon Tremaine

Cornish wildlife artist Jon Tremaine creates amazing pen and ink composite art that defies definition. His drawings are an amalgam of images, wildlife and flora entwine adding intrigue to this beautiful art form.

Jon’s art is created using an Isograph pen charged with Indian ink. This has the finest .10mm nib giving him the opportunity to draw with great precision. The drawings are labours of love taking as long as a hundred hours to produce through sittings of two to four hours at a time.

He is also a member of Artists for Conservation, it's mission is to support wildlife and habitat conservation, biodiversity, sustainability and environmental education through art.

Limited edition prints and close up views of this amazing, complex badger art work are available to buy on-line via Jon's web site. Original wildlife drawings and assorted packs of British wildlife cards are also available.

You can also visit Jon in his art studio in Lelant.
